Rockets Acquire Jaden Springer, 2030 2nd Rounder From Celtics

The Houston Rockets have acquired Jaden Springer and a 2030 second rounder from the Boston Celtics. The Celtics and Rockets will also exchange heavily protected second round picks.

Springer has averaged 1.7 points and 0.9 rebounds in 5.4 minutes across 26 games this season for the Celtics. Springer was the 28th overall pick in the 2021 draft by the Philadelphia 76ers and will be a restricted free agent in the offseason.

Boston's tax bill drops from $65.6 million to $50.2 million with the move while also creating a roster spot.
