Landry Shamet Suffers Serious Shoulder Injury

Landry Shamet suffered a serious right shoulder injury on Tuesday night against the Charlotte Hornets.

The 27-year-old had a strong chance to make the Knicks roster for the upcoming season.

Shamet is signed to an Exhibit 9 contract.

The Knicks are likely to convert Ariel Hukporti to standard deal. If they sign Shamet, they would have 14 players under standard NBA contracts.

Before Shamet's injury, there was support within the team to sign Marcus Morris Sr. to the roster.
