Quintin Grimes' camp "did not explicitly request a trade" from the Dallas Mavericks, sources tell The Stein Line. The Mavericks traded Grimes to the Philadelphia 76ers ahead of the deadline in a deal for Caleb Martin.
Ahead of the extension deadline in October, Grimes reportedly turned down an extension offer from the Mavericks in the neighborhood of $27 million over three seasons.
Grimes will be a restricted free agent this offseason and is represented by David Bauman and Travis King, Jr. The Sixers have interest in re-signing Grimes, who is averaging 21.8 points, 5.0 rebounds and 4.2 assists in 33.2 minutes over 22 games since joining the team.
