With all of the NBA Trade Deadline news transpiring, Charles Barkley wants to see LeBron James go to the Golden State Warriors or the San Antonio Spurs. After the Los Angeles Lakers traded for Luka Doncic on Saturday, questions arose. Whose team will it be? Can James and Doncic coexist?

If that’s not the case, Barkley said this about if the Spurs or the Warriors landed the All-Star.

“Those are two places I could see that would be fascinating,” Barkley said.

Both teams have two of the best and most respected head coaches. With the Spurs having Gregg Popovich and the Warriors having Steve Kerr, both are winners. They’ve coached NBA champions and hall of famers on a routine basis. Plus, they are two of the most player-friendly coaches in the league.

Still, success matters but both teams have interesting paths. For Golden State, they still have superstar point guard Stephen Curry. With a flurry of injuries, he hasn’t had much help this season. Bringing in someone like James would bring Curry a superstar that he hasn’t played with since Kevin Durant.

On the flip side, the Spurs are a rising team. They have a generational center, Victor Wembanyama on their hands. Plus, the Spurs recently traded for De’Aaron Fox on Sunday. They want to win now. Plus, the addition of younger players like Devin Vassell and Stephon Castle make San Antonio an sintriguing spot.

Would LeBron James go to the Warriors or Spurs?

After the Lakers traded for Doncic, it’s unlikely. Even with reports that the front office isn’t worried about how he and Doncic will mesh, it’s worth monitoring. Both the Warriors and the Spurs have the young assets and draft capital needed to pull off a trade. However, Los Angeles could have something special brewing.

A James and Doncic duo would be masterful at every aspect of the game. Most importantly, they would be one of the smartest duos in the league, in terms of their IQs. Either way, the Doncic trade might not be the craziest part of the NBA trade deadline. The Spurs already made a move and could make another.

Furthermore, Chris Paul and James are very close friends, so that could entice James to come to San Antonio. Also, Curry and James are very close, making a Golden State duo a legitimate possibility. At the end of the day, they have until Thursday to make a move. However, Barkley insists that it’s something he would love to see happen.
