Lauri Markkanen isn’t shy about his love for hockey and his homeland.

Markkanen was seen repping a 4 Nations Face-Off Team Finland jersey ahead of the Utah Jazz game against the Los Angeles Clippers on Thursday night, the same night USA took on Finland in the international tournament.

Even though Markkanen spends most of his time on the court, he looks for opportunities to stay connected to the sport he grew up playing with his friends in Finland. Coinciding with the first game for Finland at the tournament, the 27-year-old found the opportunity to support his home country.

Markkanen took to the ice earlier this year with the Utah Hockey Club when he participated in the ceremonial puck drop at the franchise’s first game.
