Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James was forced to leave Saturday's loss at the Boston Celtics early due to a groin strain. James exited the game in the fourth quarter and did not return. Shortly thereafter the Lakers ruled James out for the remainder of the contest with a strained groin.

There has been no further update to James' status at this point. Saturday's game was the first on a four-game road trip for the Lakers. Los Angeles will travel to play the Brooklyn Nets on Monday, before playing at the Milwaukee Bucks and Denver on a back-to-back on Thursday and Friday.
