DALLAS — The Dallas Mavericks are set to host the Sacramento Kings on Monday night. It was recently revealed that Anthony Davis could miss up to a month with a left adductor strain. Ahead of Monday’s game, Mavs head coach Jason Kidd said there is no specific injury timeline yet as Davis continues to be evaluated.

“They are still evaluating,” Kidd told reporters. “There is still stuff that has to come out, at some point that will. All speculation right now.”
Kidd did not reveal a specific timeline. The Mavs will provide a further update once Davis has been completely evaluated. For now, Kidd says any prediction would be speculation.
Anthony Davis dealing with injury concern
Davis suffered the injury during the Mavericks’ 116-105 victory against the Houston Rockets on Saturday. It was quite the debut for Davis who played well in the first half before later suffering the injury. He told reporters after the game that he was not worried about the issue, but it was later reported that AD could miss up to a month.
There is concern at the moment. The Mavs traded Luka Doncic to the Lakers in a deal that saw them acquire Davis. However, AD’s uncertain injury timeline is obviously far from ideal. The Mavericks are hopeful he can return as soon as possible, but it remains to be seen when AD will play again.
The Mavericks will enter play on Monday with a 28-25 record. Dallas is in eighth place in the Western Conference. Monday’s game is important, as the Kings are 26-26 and only one game and a half behind the Mavericks in the Western Conference standings. Earning a victory will feel like a statement win for this Mavs team.
