The injury bug continues to strike in Toronto.
Rookie Ja’Kobe Walter was ruled out of Friday’s game against the Utah Jazz, the team announced.
It’s unclear exactly when or how the injury occurred.
The Raptors were already playing short-handed as regulars Jakob Poeltl, RJ Barrett, Chris Boucher, Gradey Dick and Jonathan Mogbo all sat out.
Trade-deadline addition Brandon Ingram has also yet to debut with the team as he heals from an ankle sprain.
Walter, 20, is averaging 7.7 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 43 contests.
He played hero on Tuesday, draining a circus three-pointer with half a second left to lead the Raptors past the Magic 114-113.
The Baylor product was selected 19th by the Raptors in the 2024 draft.
Following the Raptors’ 118-109 win over the Jazz, the team said there was no determination yet on Walter’s availability for Saturday’s game against the Washington Wizards.
