The Brooklyn Nets are interested in trading for Sacramento Kings guard De'Aaron Fox. How interested Fox is in coming to the rebuilding Nets, and what Brooklyn GM Sean Marks will offer, are the questions that need to be answered.

Nets head coach Jordi Fernandez was on the Sacramento staff for the last couple of seasons. That gives him a pre-existing relationship with Fox, which could help convince the guard that Brooklyn is a good place for him long-term.

Despite their interest in Fox, the Nets ultimate target remains Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo. There's no indication that Antetokounmpo is available or wants a trade from Milwaukee, but that hasn't stopped the Nets from dreaming.

"Brooklyn is still holding out for Giannis," a source told The New York Post.

That leaves Marks in a position where he has to weigh chasing Fox, who could make Brooklyn more attractive to Antetokounmpo. While considering that, the Nets need to leave enough assets in reserve to be able to make a pitch for the Bucks star, should he ever become available.
