Klay Thompson seems set to become an unrestricted free agent in the coming days. Thompson and the Golden State Warriors haven't made any progress on signing a new contract. The Warriors offered Thompson a two-year, $48 million extension before the start of the 23-24 season.

According to The Athletic, the Philadelphia 76ers have interest in signing Thompson. Philadelphia could have over $60 million in cap space this summer. The Denver Nuggets also have interest, if they lose free agent shooting guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope in free agency. Pope opted out of his deal with Denver and will test the market this summer.

Marc Stein also reports that the Dallas Mavericks could pursue Thompson after their trade of Tim Hardaway Jr. to the Detroit Pistons. Stein reports that Thompson is seeking at least a three-year deal, but cap space teams are believed to prefer shorter contract structures with higher dollar amounts.

Thompson, who is represented by Greg Lawrence, is coming off a five-year, $190 million contract agreed upon in 2019 following his ACL tear in Game 6 of The Finals.
