Zion Williamson was a late scratch for the New Orleans Pelicans' regular season opener against the Chicago Bulls due to illness. The Pelicans next play at the Portland Trail Blazers on October 25th.

Williamson played in a career-high 70 games last season, but injured his hamstring in the Pelicans' first play-in game and then missed their first round series against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
