Tom Gores Wants Pistons To Add Players In Free Agency

In several offseasons with Troy Weaver leading the front office, the Detroit Pistons spent a lot of cap space by absorbing bad contracts from other teams. Pistons owner Tom Gores wants that to change.

"We have to have players who are active. It's not good enough to be a free agent, come over and not play," Gores said.

The Pistons project to have over $60 million in cap space this summer. Detroit can be an active in going after veterans to help lift a team that went 14-68 last season.

Trajan Langdon is starting a new era leading the Pistons basketball operations. He suggested a more open-minded approach to the offseason by saying, "With the cap space we do have, we're looking at taking on contracts and adding assets as well."
