The Spurs look to start the new month strong against the Magic.

The final chapter of the San Antonio Spurs season has begun. April is likely the last month of Spurs basketball we'll see before the new season begins in October. San Antonio is on a four-game losing streak and is 4.5 games out of the 10th seed in the Western Conference. They'll have a chance to start the month and end the season on a positive note, starting with a match against the Orlando Magic.

The Magic are fighting for playoff positioning in the Eastern Conference. They are battling with the Atlanta Hawks for the 7th and 8th spots in the East. Orlando will be motivated after coming off a loss to the Los Angeles Clippers on Monday night. San Antonio will have the rest advantage, which has benefitted them so far this season.

The Spurs narrowly lost to the Magic earlier this year, 112-111. Orlando got a 33-point, 12-rebound performance from Franz Wagner that night. San Antonio will need to slow down the Magic's star wing if they want to start April with a win.

What to watch for:

Consistent offense

This is the second straight game the Spurs have played against strong defenses. The Warriors stifled them in their last loss. The Magic allow the least points per game in the NBA. San Antonio will need consistent offense from reliable sources to keep up with Orlando. That means getting a good game from Devin Vassell, Stephon Castle, and Keldon Johnson.

Guarding the wings

The Magic are big and tough on the wings with Wagner and Paolo Banchero. San Antonio will need Harrison Barnes, Julian Champagnie, Jeremy Sochan, and the rest of their wings to play big against Orlando's wings. Particularly in the interior where the Magic are the biggest problem. Orlando is last in the NBA in three-point percentage, making just 31.3% of their attempts.
