Game Thread: San Antonio Spurs at Houston Rockets

The dreary slog of the Rodeo Road trip continues in H-Town
Welcome to the Game Thread. Veterans of the Game Thread know how we do things around here, but for all you newbies we have a few rules. Our community guidelines apply and basically say be cool, no personal attacks, don't troll and don't swear too much.
This has been a tough year for the Silver and Black, and the last couple of weeks have been the toughest stretch as the team has faced adversity and had some poor performances on the road. Last season, the team had an 18 game losing streak, but this season the team has not lost more than three in a row, until now. That statistic is in danger tonight because the Spurs fell flat in three straight winnable games, losing to the Pistons and the Pelicans twice. The Spurs will need to win the penultimate game of the Rodeo Road Trip tonight to avoid that fate, and it only gets harder from here, as the Spurs end the RRT on Saturday with a game against the Grizzlies, and then play the Thunder the next day in their return home to the Frost Bank Center.
Neither team has a rest advantage tonight, since the Rockets beat the Milwaukee Bucks last night 100-97 while the Spurs were losing to the Pelicans 103-109. The Rockets will be without the services of Fred VanVleet, who has been out for the last 10 games, but they have plenty of defensive firepower to give the struggling Spurs offense problems. De'Aaron Fox has had a few bad shooting games in a row, so tonight would be a good night for him to find his touch, because the Spurs will need his scoring to have a shot tonight at winning. The Spurs have played five games in the last seven nights (FIGASENI), and the physical and mental fatigue is a challenge for the team missing their best player and many other key contributors. Chris Paul hasn't played well in the back end of back-to-backs this season, which is pretty understandable for a guy who considers dirt youthful. He's either going to have to step up tonight, or step back in favor of someone younger, like Stephon Castle who is overdue for a post-All Star breakout game.
This game is nationally broadcast on ESPN, a scheduling decision that they're probably regretting after Wembanyama's injury/illness and the Spurs poor play since the All Star Break. San Antonio TV viewers should be able to watch on CW35, which should much less annoying. Let's go Spurs.
Game Prediction:
The curse from the Pelicans voodoo will be lifted before the game and the Spurs will shoot 60% for the game and win by 20.
One final word:
GO SPURS GOOOO!!!
