03/24/2025 01:01 PM
The Spurs took advantage of Toronto's carelessness by turning 15 steals into 30 points off turnovers.
Coming off a win vs the Philadelphia 76ers, the Spurs traveled to Toronto to take on the Raptors. What followed was complete and utter domination from the tip-off to the end. After the Spurs outscored the Raptors 36-16, they did not take their foot off the gas. They stole the ball 15 times and cashed in the Raptors' 22 turnovers into 30 points. The Spurs ultimately won 123-89.

Devin Vassell led the way with 25 points on 11 of 14 shooting, six rebounds, three assists, two steals, and a block. In one of Dev's most efficient games of the season, the Spurs' supporting cast responded with lockdown defense. Dev's hot shooting only spells great things to close out the season.

23 points so far! pic.twitter.com/8G6Clb2DKS
Julian Champagnie had a solid game with 20 points, five rebounds, three steals, two assists, and a block. Believe it or not, this is Julian's first game scoring 20+ points since December 6th where he dropped 30. He drained four threes while showing off his pickpocketing skills with three steals.
BUZZER-BEATER PUTBACK! Julian slams home the Jeremy Sochan miss at the buzzer to close out the third!

Stephon Castle dropped 15 points, five rebounds, an assist, a steal, and a block. Having played only 20 minutes, Steph made the most of his limited time by shooting eight of ten from the free-throw line. Aggressive Steph always means great things for the squad.
Patience is key! After the Harrison Barnes steal, Steph runs the fastbreak with Dev, only for Dev to hand him the ball back for the easy slam!

Jeremy Sochan dropped nine points, five rebounds, two assists, two steals, and a block. Taking a backseat to Bismack Biyombo after starting the last two games, Jeremy still made the most off the bench in 20 minutes, including showing off the hops on this alley-oop slam!

Blake Wesley dropped eight points, four assists, three steals, and a rebound. Blake has been playing well since he started getting key minutes off the bench. His energy and hustle has been a spark plug for this team, especially on defense. Here, he picks off Scottie Barnes' pass and slams it home on the other end!
8️⃣ steals already in the first!

Chris Paul dropped two points, six assists, and a rebound. Have you ever played NBA2K and kept pressing the shoot button multiple times? That's exactly what CP3 did to Colin Castleton to get space for the open middy!

Malaki Branham dropped four points and an assist. It's good to see Malaki get playing time even it comes during a blowout. He even got an and-one finish! Look at the bench go crazy!

Overall, this was a dominant win for the squad. Truly punishing another team's mistakes and capitalizing means their chances of getting back into the game dwindle. Notice how most of these highlights came off a steal. Having a defensive identity is reminiscent of playoff-contending Spurs teams, and it can only help this team's chemistry to end this season and to start next season.
Finally, here are the full game highlights.
The Spurs take on the Detroit Pistons in Little Caesar's Arena this Tuesday at 6:00 P.M. (CST) on FDSN-SW.
