"A tale of two halves" has never been more appropriate than now.

Coming off a loss to the Detroit Pistons, the Spurs traveled to New Orleans to take on the Pelicans. What followed was a dramatic rise and fall for the silver and black. The Spurs outscored the Pelicans 53-40 in the first half and even held a 17-point lead at one point. However, the Pelicans came alive by outscoring the Spurs 36-25 in the third. Going into the fourth, the Spurs held a 79-75 lead. The Spurs lost that lead and outscored 39-17 in the fourth. The Pelicans won 114-96.

Keldon Johnson led the team with 18 points, three assists, two rebounds, and a steal in 24 minutes off the bench. Keldon has found a spark since the ASB. He's averaging 20.3 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 3.3 assists in his last three games. He shot 77% from the field and 62.5% from three in the three-game span.

LOOK OUT! KJ glides his way into the paint and has a pretty finish!

Another drive, another KJ finish! On the fastbreak, Julian Champagnie and KJ play hot potato for the easy layup!

Julian Champagnie also led the team with 18 points on six threes, four rebounds, four assists, and two steals. Five of his six threes came in the first half alone. It's nice to see Julian have a bounceback shooting game.

AT THE BUZZER! Julian finds the roll from the corner to close out the first quarter!

HE'S ON FIRE! Julian knocks down the catch and shoot three from the wing to mark his fifth three of the game!

De'Aaron Fox dropped 13 points, seven rebounds, five assists, a steal, and a block. He struggled from the field by going 3 for 16, but played a role getting others involved and getting to the free throw line.

TOUGH. Fox fights his way to the hole for a fantastic finish!

Harrison Barnes dropped 13 points, four rebounds, two assists, and a block. After back-to-back rough games, HB had a solid scoring outing. He'll continue to be needed to fill in those extra early points.

BUCKET. HB knocks down one of his three transition threes!

Bismack Biyombo had a solid game with a double-double: 10 points and 10 rebounds. He also had four blocks and two steals. After playing 12 to 16 minutes the last two games, Bismack played 30 minutes and provided production on both ends. It'll be a surprise if he's not signed for the rest of the season.

BLOCK PARTY! Bismack rejects rookie Yves Missi not once, but twice in one possession to trigger the shot clock violation!

Finish your breakfast! Fox finds Bismack under the rim for a window finish!

Devin Vassell dropped five points, three rebounds, an assist, and a steal. He's struggled from the field since the ASB, and Spurs fans hope to see him regain the confidence of seasons' past.

SPLASH. Dev knocks down the early three to get the squad started!

Charles Bassey dropped four points, three rebounds, two steals, and an assist in six minutes. CB had to leave early due to soreness. Hopefully, he returns within the week to get more playing time with these small lineups.

SLAMMA JAMMA! Bassey takes the Fox feed and patiently slams it home!

Stephon Castle dropped two points and two assists. This time, he got more playing time. The bad news? He went 1 for 10 and struggled on the offensive end.

That's for two! Castle crafts his way to the hole for the layup off the glass on Jeremiah Robinson-Earl!

This was an embarrassing loss. After dominating a 13-win team in the first half, the silver and black got lackadaisical on defense and went ice cold (especially in the fourth quarter). Just like other embarrassing losses this season, this team will have to flush this out and get revenge in the rematch on Tuesday.

Finally, here are the full game highlights.

The Spurs take on the Pelicans in a rematch this Tuesday at 7:00 P.M. (CST) on FDSN-SW.
