Victor is the youngest center in NBA history to have a 50-point game.

Coming off a victory against Sacramento this past Monday, the Spurs looked to grab another win against a struggling Washington Wizards team. After going up by 16 early in the first quarter, the Spurs only led by one going into the second. A back-and-forth affair was underway with the score 67-67 at halftime. However, something special was happening with Victor Wembanyama. He scored 24 points in the first half and knocked down his career-high eighth three as the Spurs blitzed Washington 41-24 in the third. It got dicey toward the end of the fourth after Wemby reached the career-high 50-point mark when Jordan Poole (who dropped 42 points) led Washington on a mini-run, but the Spurs edged out the Wizards 139-130.

Victor Wembanyama was utterly unstoppable with 50 points (career-high), six rebounds, three blocks, two assists, a steal, and eight 3PM (career-high). Wemby is simply not from this planet. Ever since an anonymous NBA scout said he was not an offensive threat, he's averaged 36 PPG & 12 RPG while averaging shooting splits of 59 % from the field, 54 % from three, 77 % from the free throw line, and 75% true shooting.

You'll notice throughout these highlights that Wemby's limitless range badge is at least gold. Also, Wemby teaching Alex Sarr to step up and guard a 3PT threat!

Two-way player. Wemby rejects Bub Carrington's shot off the backboard, and then cleans up the Castle miss for the slam!

Jonas Valanciunas cannot keep up with Wemby's speed on the perimeter. Clear the runway for Flight 1!

Here's Wemby's first half highlights.

Now this three is DEEEEEEEP. He might have the potential for a Hall of Fame limitless range badge.

It is simply too easy for Wemby. Driving to the cup, his arm extension allows him to dunk from the middle of the paint!

HEAT CHECK! Wemby knocks down his eighth three of the game!

After initially losing the ball, Wemby cleans up his mess for the finish at the rim!

50 BURGER! Wemby scores his 50th point with a faceup jumper over Corey Kispert.

Another day, another record broken by Wemby!

Devin Vassell had a decent game with 17 points, three assists, two rebounds, a steal, and a block off the bench. He's still easing back into the rotation with 25 minutes played, and hopefully, he gets his starting spot back soon. Here, he draws two defenders and dumps it off to Zach Collins for the finish! Zach had himself a well-rounded game with five points, seven rebounds, and six assists.

Julian Champagnie had a solid game with 12 points five rebounds, two assists, and a steal. He had three threes in the game, including this laser from the corner!

Stephon Castle continues to impress in his spot-start role with 10 points, a rebound, and a block. He shows off patience and craftiness by faking Bilal Coulibaly out and then hits the nice bank shot!

Here's another angle!

Chris Paul had a near double-double with nine points, 11 assists, three rebounds, and three steals. A wide-open three = a make for CP3!

Clutch CP3! During the Wizards' comeback attempt, CP3 and Wemby run a pick & roll to get the mismatch of Valanciunas on CP3. He then drains the midrange jumper to cushion the lead.

After a brief hiatus due to injury, Malaki Branham returned and had a solid game with eight points, two assists, and a rebound. Here, Malaki and Zach run the give-and-go to perfection as Malaki slams it home over Kispert!

Malaki middy! Malaki gets a piece of the fourth quarter scoring with a pull-up jumper.

Keldon Johnson had a decent game with eight points, six rebounds, three assists, and a block. Here, KJ gets a full head of steam and puts his body into Coulibaly for the tough finish!

Even though there were defensive lapses, the Spurs got a nice win to prepare themselves for the Emirates NBA Cup. Also, Wemby gave Spurs fans a 50 point performance at the age of 20! The fact he is continuing to improve sounds promising for this team, and scary for the rest of the league.

Finally, here are the full game highlights.

The Spurs take on the Los Angeles Lakers in the Group Stage of the Emirates NBA Cup this Friday at 6:30 P.M. on ESPN.
