The Spurs broke a franchise record with 23 made threes in a game.

Coming off a tough loss against the Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday, the Spurs traveled to Sacramento to take on the Kings in hopes of securing a win. The Spurs started slow, falling behind the Kings 42-28 after the first quarter. After a hard-fought second and third quarter, the Spurs were down by five. The fourth quarter was a back-and-forth affair, and Victor Wembanyama was clutch on both ends. Even with De'Aaron Fox and Malik Monk nailing clutch threes, Devin Vassell and Chris Paul matched them, and the Spurs escaped with a 127-125 win. They also set a new franchise record with 23 threes made in a game.

Victor Wembanyama dropped his first triple-double this season and third of his career: 34 points, 14 rebounds, 11 assists, three blocks and a steal. He again dominated the highlights with deep threes and clutch plays on both ends. He continues to be a literal cheat code.

Fader! Wemby catches the pass in the post and fades over Keegan Murray for the swish!

Catch and shoot badge activated! Wemby takes the Vassell handoff and drains the three over Domantas Sabonis!

Same play, same result! This time, CP3 is the facilitator and Wemby drains a deep three after he sets the screen!

It's just too easy for him! Wemby goes into his shooting motion at the top of the key and continues to make the Kings pay!

How about an alley-oop? Harrison Barnes throws the lob in the paint for the easy Wemby catch and slam!

Mouse in the house! Wemby takes advantage of the mismatch and spins off of Keon Ellis for the easy layup!

Mismatch part two! This time Wemby takes Fox to the cup with ease for the layup!

Devin Vassell dropped 21 points, three assists, and a block off the bench. He provided a much-needed spark plug that helped the Spurs close out the Kings.

Splash! Devin uses the Charles Bassey screen to perfection as he drains the wide-open three!

Devin had five threes in the game, including this deep one from the wing!

Julian Champagnie had a solid game with 19 points, eight rebounds, two steals, one assist, and one block. He also dropped four threes in the game, including this one coming off some sick Spurs ball movement!

Julian had 16 points at halftime, and it wasn't all from the three point line. Here, Julian catches the CP3 pass on the fastbreak and finishes at the rim with ease!

Keldon Johnson had a decent game with 17 points, four rebounds, and an assist. Here, he takes Issac Jones to the rim and uses his strength to finish!

KJ had four threes in the game, including this one from the Golden 1 Center logo!

Chris Paul dropped a double-double: 13 points and 10 assists. He also dropped two rebounds, a steal, and a block. He was responsible for the record-breaking three! This was also the most clutch bucket of the game.

Stephon Castle dropped eight points, an assist, and a block. Off the CP3 steal, Wemby finds Steph for the alley-oop finish!

Castle dropped a pair of threes, including this one late in the first!

Harrison Barnes dropped eight points, seven rebounds, and two assists. Here, he uses his patience to finish at the rim with ease!

Tre Jones dropped seven points, two steals, two blocks, an assist, and a rebound in 14 minutes. Facing a 17-point deficit, Tre drills a three from HALF COURT at the buzzer to trim the lead to 14 and to close out the first quarter! Unfortunately, Tre had to leave the game early with a shoulder injury after colliding with Sabonis.

This was a great comeback win for this young team! The Spurs this year have shown that they are a second-half team that will not give up easily. Also, when your team breaks a franchise record for most threes in a game (23), it's safe to say you're likely to win most games.

Finally, here are the full game highlights.
