His beloved sketch comedy show character interprets the NFL

Yesterday's open thread conversation regarding the pronunciation of Spurs player's names reminded me of my favorite Key and Peele sketch, featuring Keegan-Michael Key as substitute teacher Mr. Garvey.

I work in a high school and part of my job is to go through every student's transcript with their counselor to confirm testing requirements. I often laugh a day away as a Caucasian co-worker reads predominantly Hispanic surnames.

Recently, Keegan-Michael Key was on the Rich Eisen show, and he was asked to take the names of new NFL draftees and interpret them as Mr. Garvey. Definitely worth a watch.

Personally, I would love to see Mr. Garvey read off the Spurs training camp roster without the benefit of the pronunciation guide.

Might make us appreciate Reggie Miller a little more.

But probably not.
