The Oklahoma City Thunder worked their way up from not owning a second-round pick to acquiring the No. 38 selection to add UC Santa Barbara’s Ajay Mitchell. The Thunder have likely filled out one of their two-way spots with the 22-year-old.

OKC shipped Lindy Waters III to the Golden State Warriors for the No. 52 pick. They then shipped the No. 52 selection to the Portland Trail Blazers for No. 40. The Thunder once more traded the 40th pick and cash considerations to the New York Knicks for the 38th selection.

Mitchell played in three college campaigns at UC Santa Barbara. He was an efficient 20-point scorer last season and was a serious outside option.
