The Oklahoma City Thunder have the No. 12 pick of theĀ 2024 NBA draft. They acquired the lottery selection via the Houston Rockets. The gifted first-round selection gives OKC a chance to add another young prospect to the youngest first seed in league history.

The Thunder have one of the best trios in the league with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Chet Holmgren and Jalen Williams. For the foreseeable future, the draft will now be about filling out the rest of the depth chart around those three players.

One possibility is G League Ignite forward Tyler Smith. He was a top scorer for the Ignite in their final year before the program was shut down. He is a former five-star prospect who owns the athletic traits and shot to be a possible starting wing in the NBA.
