Recap: OKC Blue evens 2024 G League Finals with 99-89 win over Maine Celtics

The OKC Blue collected a 99-89 win over the Maine Celtics to tie the 2024 G League Finals at one apiece. The home win forced a decisive Game 3, which will be played at Maine on Monday.
The Blue ended the first quarter with a 25-14 lead. OKC held firm to its lead in the second frame with a 30-point period to enter halftime with a 55-46 advantage.
The Celtics managed to cut it to a four-point lead for the Blue in the third frame, but OKC went on a 19-9 run to tally 28 points in the quarter. The Blue entered the fourth quarter with an 83-69 lead.
The Blue eventually built an 18-point lead in the opening moments of the fourth quarter before the Celtics cut it to as little as a six-point contest in the final two minutes. OKC held on after Maine outscored it, 20-16, in the final frame.
The Blue shot 44% from the field and went 13-of-28 (46.4%) from 3. They dished out 25 assists on 36 baskets. Six Blue players scored double-digit points.
Meanwhile, the Celtics shot 34% from the field and went 15-of-52 (28.8%) from 3. They had 23 assists on 33 baskets. Four Celtics players scored double-digit points.

- Lindy Waters III: 27 points on 10-of-13 shooting, 5-of-7 from 3, seven rebounds, five assists
- Ousmane Dieng: 12 points on 4-of-12 shooting, seven rebounds, four assists
- Olivier Sarr: 10 points on 4-of-6 shooting, nine rebounds, two blocks
- KJ Williams: 13 points on 5-of-11 shooting, 3-of-6 from 3, seven rebounds
- Drew Peterson: 29 points on 10-of-19 shooting, 6-of-13 from 3, seven rebounds, two assists, two steals
- JD Davison: 11 points on 4-of-18 shooting, 3-of-8 from 3, 12 assists, five rebounds
- Jordan Walsh: 13 points on 5-of-15 shooting, 3-of-11 from 3, eight rebounds, three assists
