Golden State basketball is on the way! Come join our game thread and chat about tonight's matchup here.

The Golden State Warriors begin a four-game road trip starting with Thursday's matchup against the Detroit Pistons. The game will be played at 4:00PM PT in Detroit and can be watched on NBC Sports Bay Area.

Previously with the Warriors:

The Warriors are on a two-game losing streak after the Miami Heat beat them on Tuesday night, 114-98. Steph Curry had another efficient night shooting the ball, scoring a team-high 31 points on 11-of-22 shooting, including 8-of-17 from beyond the arc. Unfortunately, the rest of the team struggled mightily from deep, connecting on just 6-of-33 three-point attempts (18.2%). The defeat dropped Golden State back to .500 on the season as they desperately search for answers to energize their stagnating roster.

What to watch for tonight:

Golden State faces a tough test against one of the hottest teams in the league in the Pistons. Detroit has won eight of its last nine games, including five straight victories. Over this stretch, the Pistons boast the league's sixth-best net rating (5.1), fueled by rising third-year star Cade Cunningham who leads the team averaging 24.0 points and 9.3 assists per game.

Meanwhile, the Warriors continue to struggle, going 3-6 during that same span with a net rating of -3.4 (21st in the league). The team is also dealing with a slew of injuries as Jonathan Kuminga, Brandin Podziemski, and Gary Payton II have been ruled out for another game. Andrew Wiggins has also been ruled out for personal reasons, while Curry and Draymond Green are listed as questionable as both stars often rest one half of back-to-back games.

With their depleted roster, Golden State will need to dig deep into their rotation to muster the energy required to snap their current losing streak.
