Previously with the Warriors:
Golden State scored a big 114-106 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Sunday night. The win was sweet revenge after falling to the Wolves in their prior meeting last Friday.
The key difference this time was the offensive support for Stephen Curry. While Curry's 23 points made him the sole Warrior to score over 13 points in the first game, he received substantial help on Sunday with Buddy Hield's 27 points and Jonathan Kuminga's 20 points rounding out a more balanced attack.

What to watch for tonight:
Tonight's game against the Rockets begins the knockout stage of the NBA Cup for the Warriors. A win advances them to the semifinal round in Las Vegas where they will play against the Oklahoma City Thunder. However, a loss eliminates Golden State from the tournament, relegating them to just another regular season matchup against former Warrior Klay Thompson and the Dallas Mavericks at the Chase Center on Sunday.
Thunder beat the Mavericks in OKC tonight. Winner of Warriors-Rockets tomorrow night in Houston faces the Thunder in Las Vegas on Saturday in the Cup semifinals. If the Warriors lose to the Rockets, they'd return to SF to face Klay Thompson and the Mavericks on Sunday.

Golden State could welcome back starting small forward Andrew Wiggins, who missed Sunday's game due to an ankle injury. Head coach Steve Kerr expressed optimism about Wiggins' availability after Tuesday's practice, and Wiggins was seen participating in shootaround Wednesday. Moses Moody, however, remains sidelined.

The Warriors have dominated the Rockets in recent years, boasting a 15-game regular-season win streak that dates back to March 2021. This season, they've already notched two victories over Houston, but the Rockets' length and athleticism—which fuels their second-ranked defense—pose significant challenges.
Jonathan Kuminga has been pivotal against Houston this season. He dominated overtime in their November meeting and set a career-high with 33 points in last week's matchup. If the Warriors hope to extend their streak and advance to Las Vegas, they'll need another big game from Kuminga—and more consistent scoring across the roster.
