Backboard Confessional is locked in for Golden State
Jimmy Butler has turned over a new leaf as a Golden State Warrior. The veteran forward/guard, known for forcing his way out of situations where he doesn't feel like he fits, has put his time with the Miami Heat behind him.
Per the San Francisco Chronicle's Sam Gordon, Butler put his time in Miami behind him "a long time ago. As soon as I ended up a Golden State Warrior, everything that had went on was dead. ... I'm always focused on the right now and what's to come. I'm here as a Golden State Warrior and I've got a job to do."
And Jimmy Buckets does have a job to do as the Warriors approach the play-in tournament as the seventh seed. Hopefully, with his leadership and dynamic play-style, Butler can lead the Warriors to the sixth seed in order to avoid the play-in tournament, where the Dubs are currently matched up against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
With the Warriors, Butler has been averaging 17 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 5.5 assists per game. Luckily, even at age 35, Jimmy Butler shows no signs of slowing down.
