Ben Simmons and the Brooklyn Nets are working on a buyout of his contract that would make him a free agent. Simmons is in the final season of a five-year, $170 million deal he signed with the Philadelphia 76ers in 2019. Simmons is on a $40.3 million expiring contract.
If Simmons is bought out, the Cleveland Cavaliers and Los Angeles Clippers could have interest. Simmons is represented by Bernie Lee after previously being with Klutch Sports.
In 33 games this season with the Nets, Simmons is averaging 6.2 points, 5.2 rebounds and 6.9 assists in 25.0 minutes.
