The Dallas Mavericks are set to play the third contest of their current four-game road trip on Thursday night against the Orlando Magic. The Mavs were most recently defeated 128-113 by the New York Knicks, however, Anthony Davis did not play in the game. So is Davis playing tonight?
Anthony Davis’ injury status vs. Magic
Davis is currently listed as questionable on the NBA injury report due to a left adductor strain.
AD continues to deal with the left adductor strain. He was able to make his return from injury on Monday before sitting out the second of a back-to-back on Tuesday against the Knicks.
The Mavs are currently 11th in the Western Conference, but they have the same record (35-38) as the 10th place Phoenix Suns. Both teams are only a half-game behind the Sacramento Kings for the No. 9 seed as well.
Dallas is hoping to clinch an NBA Play-In Tournament position. Davis’ availability moving forward will play a significant role in determining whether or not the Mavericks accomplish that goal.
