Michael Malone Says 'We're Not Trading Michael Porter'

Michael Malone said that the Denver Nuggets were not trading Michael Porter Jr. amid rumors leading up to the trade deadline.

"We're not trading Michael Porter. So I'm not touching base with anybody on that. ... Michael is a really important piece, he helped us win a championship," said Malone following the Nuggets' win over the Pelicans on Monday night.

Porter, who scored 36 points on Monday, is the only Nuggets player eligible to be traded who makes over $9 million this year.

Porter has played every game this season and has two years and nearly $80 million left on his contract.
