The Spurs' bench outscored New Orleans 55-24.

Coming off the loss of De'Aaron Fox for the season and a loss to the Charlotte Hornets, the Spurs faced the New Orleans Pelicans on a SEGABABA. The injury bug affected both teams, as it was announced before the game that Zion Williamson and Yves Missi would be out for the Pelicans. A back-and-forth affair in the first half followed, tied at 58. In the third quarter, the Spurs built some cushion as they embarked on a 17-0 run that ended up being a 23-6 run to close the quarter. After the Pels attempted a comeback late in the fourth, Devin Vassell hit a dagger three with a minute remaining that put the game away for good. The Spurs won 119-115.

Devin Vassell led the way with 22 points, five rebounds, three steals, and an assist. That's back-to-back 22-pieces for Dev. Hopefully, we will continue to see more of Dev as the team's leading scorer, without the squad having its two best players.

DAGGER! Dev nails the clutch three to push the Spurs' lead to five with a minute remaining!

Harrison Barnes dropped 19 points, four rebounds, and a steal. Unc was out there getting buckets and making savvy plays. Once again, solid like he's been all season.

Stepback! After getting the defender in the air with a pump fake, HB does a stepback move for the corner three!

Cleanup on aisle 40! HB puts back the missed Dev layup with a finish off the backboard!

Keldon Johnson dropped 19 points, five rebounds, three steals, and two assists. KJ has continued his hot streak since the return from ASB. He'll have to continue getting buckets off the bench down the stretch to help keep this team afloat. Or, instead of keeping the team afloat, he can return to his tank commander role from the 2022-23 season.

KJ bully ball! KJ fights his way to the cup against Trey Murphy III and finishes strong for two!

K3LDON JOHNSON! With the shot clock winding down, Jeremy Sochan finds KJ at the top of the key for an open three-ball!

Stephon Castle dropped 17 points, seven assists, a rebound, and a steal. Now back in the starting lineup due to D-Fox's impending surgery, Steph has had back-to-back solid games as a starter. That trend is only going to continue to climb as he keeps building his ROTY case.

Channeling Speedy Claxton! Steph starts in the backcourt and speeds past three Pels defenders for the easy layup!

Jeremy Sochan dropped 14 points, five rebounds, four assists, a steal, and a block. Jeremy filled the stat sheet and was making plays on both ends. He also shot an efficient six of eight from the field.

Lob City Finisher! On the fastbreak, KJ finds Jeremy on the alley-oop connection for the jam!

FROM HALFCOURT?! Jeremy shows off the range by nailing a running three from half-court to beat the third quarter buzzer!

Julian Champagnie dropped 12 points, four rebounds, three assists, and a block. Juju drained three threes, including this one from the top of key!

Sandro Mamukelashvili dropped 10 points, seven rebounds, and an assist. Here, Mamu channels George Gervin with the finger roll finish at the rim!

Chris Paul dropped four points, six assists, three rebounds, and a steal. Here, he drains one of his patented iso midrange jumpers over Kelly Olynyk!

What a great team win! There were numerous highlights by almost every player on the squad. A collective effort like this is inspiring for continued chemistry. At this point, Spurs fans have dealt with a lot this season, and this team finishing strong would help ease questions heading into next season. And if not, tanking would only increase draft pick odds.

Finally, here are the full game highlights.

The Spurs take on the Los Angeles Lakers on Monday at 9:30 P.M. (CST) at Crypto.com Arena on FDSN-SW.
