Highlights: Wembanyama and Castle put on a show in Memphis

The Spurs may have traded for De'Aaron Fox, but they had to play in Memphis without him.
Coming off a heartbreaking loss to the Miami Heat this past Saturday, the Spurs began their Rodeo Road Trip in Memphis to take on the Grizzlies. The Spurs were without Zach Collins, Tre Jones, and Sidy Cissoko, who were all traded for De'Aaron Fox and Jordan Mclaughlin. Fox and Mclaughlin are expected to join the team in Atlanta on Wednesday. Regarding this game, the Spurs were down but showed fight until the middle of the fourth quarter. The Grizzlies ultimately outhustled and outmatched the Spurs 128-109.
Victor Wembanyama played through an illness and still dropped 27 points, 10 rebounds, five assists, two steals, and two blocks. He played 31 minutes, but he was visibly winded during the third and fourth quarters. Nonetheless, he'll be happy to have a star running mate in Fox soon!
LOGO WEMBY! Wemby pulls up from the Grizzlies logo and drains the three with the help of a friendly bounce! It's insane that he manages to do this every game.

Stephon Castle had a great game with 21 points, six rebounds, five assists, and a steal. It will be interesting to see when Fox is inserted into the lineup if Steph would start alongside him or come off the bench. Spurs fans are sure glad they didn't trade him.
One of the quickest buckets ever! Castle zooms down the court, takes three dribbles, and finishes at the rim in 5 seconds!

Jeremy Sochan had a solid game off the bench with 14 points, eight rebounds, three assists, and a steal in 21 minutes. After a rough game on Saturday, he bounced back for sure. Hopefully, Mitch Johnson will increase his minutes going forward.
Shoutout to CP3 on these highlights. He delivers a perfect behind-the-back pass to Jeremy for the finish!

Devin Vassell dropped 11 points, three rebounds, three assists, and a steal. He had a rough shooting night (5 of 15), and some have suggested he could move to the bench to provide a better scoring spark. Once again, we'll have to see on Wednesday.
Middy magician! Dev takes the handoff from Jeremy and takes the midrange jumper for two!
Final frame up next!

The defensive effort simply was not there last night. Anytime the Spurs would catch fire, the Grizzlies would match it. Hopefully Wemby feels better soon, preferably this Wednesday. Rinse this, wash this, and get ready for the debut of Fox.
Finally, here are the full game highlights.
The Spurs take on the Atlanta Hawks at State Farm Arena this Wednesday at 6:00 P.M. (CST) on ESPN/FDSN-SW. De'Aaron Fox is expected to make his Spurs debut!
