Victor Wembanyama Wants To Play In 2025 EuroBasket

San Antonio Spurs center Victor Wembanyama is in process of recovering from a deep vein thrombosis that was discovered in his right shoulder. Wembanyama hopes that recovery will go well enough that he can play for France at this summer's EuroBasket tournament.

"We spoke with Victor before his surgery-he's motivated to be part of the team. We'll see how he progresses physically, and we'll make the decision when the time is right. Until then, things remain uncertain. But he's feeling good, and everything is going well with his rehab," French national team coach Frederic Fauthoux said.

EuroBasket 2025 will take place from August 27 through September 14. The games will be hosted in Cyprus, Finland, Latvia and Poland.
