The Frenchman is honing the fundamentals to take his game to the next level.

Despite recent success from deep, Victor Wembanyama remains focused on his long-term goals. In a post-game interview on Saturday night, the Frenchman shared that he's not concerned with his current shooting percentage. He believes that as long as he keeps taking quality shots, success will follow.

In fact, according to Paul Garcia's shot breakdown, the 20-year-old is now hitting 43% of his open three-pointers—a remarkable achievement that's forcing teams to rethink their defensive strategies against Wemby and the Spurs.

However, Wembanyama isn't solely focused on shooting. After the Spurs' win on Monday night against the Sacramento Kings, he mentioned that he's working on drawing more fouls by using his body more effectively. With increasing NBA experience, he's finding his footing in this area. He also noted how valuable it is to have Chris Paul—one of the best ever at drawing fouls—as a teammate.

Mastering the art of drawing fouls is a skill that NBA superstars often prioritize. Currently, Wemby is drawing 5.2 fouls per game, compared to Giannis Antetokounmpo's 7.8. Though it takes time, Wembanyama is expected to keep improving, adding this ability to his already impressive arsenal.

It seems Wemby might be brushing off Chris Paul! According to Spurs reporter Maxime Aubin, the veteran guard was spotted doing a Duolingo session before the game on Saturday night. Paul reportedly hopes to learn enough French to interact with fans by the time the Spurs play the Indiana Pacers in Paris at the end of January 2025.

Wembanyama continues to be a role model on and off the court, as he showed by giving a young fan his game-worn jersey—a gesture that surely made that kid's night.

The level of coordination and skill Wemby demonstrates in this clip is wild. Most people can't pull off a backheel or "around the world" while juggling a soccer ball. His freakish talents clearly extend beyond basketball!

The NBA League Cup is back, bringing some creative court designs and a fresh new basketball just for the tournament. Here's a sneak peek at the basketball design ahead of the Spurs' first NBA League Cup game on Friday against the Los Angeles Lakers.

Victor's defensive play is becoming so consistently impressive that it's almost expected. But on Monday night, he made an incredible block against Domantas Sabonis. The speed of his second jump to block Sabonis was nothing short of amazing.

And speaking of that incredible play, artist Jay Kim created an impressive piece capturing the moment.
