The Houston Rockets are unlikely to trade for a starting caliber player before Thursday's deadline, according to Marc Stein and Jake Fischer of The People's Insider.
Currently the No. 3 seed in the Western Conference, the Rockets want to evaluate the team following a playoff run.
The team also prefers to add a younger player who fits into the current timeline.
The Rockets, who are $10.2 million under the luxury tax, could help facilitate a three-team deal.
