He is undergoing rehabilitation, a timeline for his return has not been set.

It has been 11 days since we last saw Gregg Popovich before he left ahead of a game against the Minnesota Timberwolves on November 2 after reportedly suffering from a health issue. Not much else was divulged other than he was at home resting, and Mitch Johnson would be the interim head coach for an indefinite period of time. Rumors of the severity of the issue swirled, from "severe" on the national media's side to more calm reactions from local media who are loyal to Pop and would respect his privacy, so it was hard to know who to believe.

Now, we finally have an answer. The Spurs just released a medical update on his health, announcing that he had suffered a minor stroke that night. He has since started in a rehabilitation program and is expected to make a full recovery, although a timeline for his return has not been set.

It is relieving to know that Pop is okay and will make a full recovery. In the meantime, Johnson has received plenty of praise from his players for the job he is doing in his boss' absence. The Spurs have gone 3-3 under his guidance, all while trying to navigate the challenges of more injuries and rotation changes. They will have a good chance to move their record under him to the winning side tonight as they face the Washington Wizards, but in the meantime, here's to hoping Pop's recovery continues to go well.

Get well soon, Pop!
